1972 Firebird Interior Choices

Firebirds have always been offered in two trim levels, the standard and Custom.  The Custom interior was standard on Esprit and optional on Formula and Trans Am.  The custom interior offered more luxurious amenities like an improved seat design and specific door panels with separate pull straps.  There was also a holding strap on the passenger dashboard.

1972 was a very low production year so many photos have not been collected for the site.  The Jade color of 1971 returned to the simple Green name in 1972.  Ivory was added to the standard interior colors joining the Ivory custom interior that began in 1971 and the blue and Sandalwood standard interiors were dropped, reducing the standard interior color count to four from the five offered in 1971..  Beige was offered in place of Sandalwood and Sienna for 1972 where only six different colors were offered rather than the seven of 1971.  The Sandalwood cloth custom interior was also replaced with Beige.
